• Samples are sent via USPS Mail from our California warehouse. Samples are generally shipped next business day. Most shipments arrive within 2-5 business days from ship date, depending upon where you are located. Access the USPS Mail Map here
• In-stock orders are shipped via UPS within 2 business days from our California warehouse. Large orders may be shipped via freight carrier. Most shipments arrive within 2-5 business days from ship date, depending upon where you are located. Please access our shipping page for more details on transit time and shipping.  
• Custom orders are shipped via freight carrier as soon as production is completed (lead times vary by product - please refer to the product page for estimated production time). Please factor in both production and transit time for an accurate estimate of when to expect your order.  Custom orders are shipped directly from our production facilities in Oregon, Colorado,Washington and British Columbia.

• In order for a tile to be safe for the floor, it needs to meet certain criteria and rating specifications. The following collections are rated for floor installations: Basis, Mod Dotz, Cork Dotz, Brio, Rex Rox, Real Penny and Oasis Glass*. Please note - Oasis is rated only for low-traffic residential installations. All of our other floor tile collections are suitable for all residential and commercial floor applications.

• The following collections are not floor-rated: Kiln Ceramic, Clayhaus Mosaic, Lush Subway, Lush Custom and Rex Ray Type.

• In-Stock tile: There are no minimums for stock tile. This includes all tile from our Brio, Lush In-Stock, ModDotz and CorkDotz collections.
  
• All Custom tile:  When we make your tile by hand, there are minimum order quantities. Kiln temperature affects glaze color, and the kiln needs a certain amount of volume to achieve consistent temperature, When a batch of less than 25 sq ft is produced, there is an increased risk of color variability and inconsistency. Our minimums ensure that we are able to meet your expectations for beautifully crafted tile. 
• Lush Custom, Kiln Ceramic, Clayhaus Mosaic, Basis and Rex Ray Type are all custom made-to-order, and have a 25 sq ft order minimum.

Yes all of our tile is sold by the square foot with the exception of these tiles:  Brio Glass Mosaic, ModDotz and Cork Dotz, please use the product calculator found on the product page for these products. 

Our tile is unique to Modwalls, we design and curate all of our tile collections.  As a small, independent company located in Aptos, California we keep our overhead low and our quality high while reaching as many people as possible by selling online.
